South Park Character

Summary

For this assignment I made a South Park Character that looks like me. I used most of the tools that we’ve been using for the rest of the projects. The Ellipse Tool, Rectangle Tool, The Pen too… etc.. I used the Ellipse tool to create my head, hands, eyes, ponytail, and shoes. For my arms and shirt i used the pen tool to make the somewhat curved lines. My eyebrows, i used the Rectangle Tool and made them small enough to fit in place. Also for my hair i traced the outer side from the original character, and just added the ponytail. Finally for the Nike Headband i found a picture off of Google and traced it, then i warped and fitted it to my liking.

Border Paths

Summary

On this project i practiced how to make different lines and curves with the Pen Tool. I used the Shift key to make straight lines on the first path. On the second one i clicked and dragged to make the curves. On the last one i clicked, dragged and used the Alt key to turn the handles to the other side to form the point of the waves.

Ninja

Summary

For this project i made four “Ready For Combat” ninjas. I used a lot of different tools and shapes to make them. First i used the Ellipse Tool to make the head and used it again to make a default circle and cut it to make it look as if its a mask with a face hole. I added color and used the stroke at a 4 pt or higher with black and gray to give it a bold look. The rectangular tool to make the body and the rounded rectangular tool to make the arms and legs. Same thing with the stroke to make them look bolder, Next I copied and pasted that one ninja to make multiple and just rearrange the arms and legs to make the ninjas look like they’re in different positions. For the weapons i used rectangles, stars, triangles, and circles. I adjusted them to the shape and position i wanted them in to fit each of the ninjas.

Hippo

Summary

In the exercise i learned how to use the ellipse tool and make different shapes, i also learned how to put shapes that i made behind the main part of the project, and added the text twice and changed the back one to black to make it seem as a shadow effect.

Pen Exercise 1

Summary

On this project I learned how to use the pen tool in different ways including dragging, making curves, tweaking handles, and how to use the “alt” key and “Ctrl” key correctly. Moving allows you to move your line in any direction you want to, it also make a curve steeper or more shallow. Making curves allows you to add more shape to the thing you are trying to make. The Alt and Ctrl key just allow you to tweak your handles/corners and move your lines in different ways.

Apple Splash

Before

After

Summary

To create this Apple Splash Picture I used a lot of tools. Such as the Warp Tool, Magic Wand Tool, Eraser Tool, and The Mask Tool. I used the Warp Tool to move the water splash fit underneath the apple and not look like it was photoshopped. The Magic Wand Tool to remove the backgrounds from the apple and splash pictures. The Eraser Tool was used so I can erase any extra parts of the pictures that wasn’t the pain part. I used The Mask Tool to kind of blend the two imagines together and I can say that this project came out really good.

Water Color Picture

Before

After

So on this project I decided to watch a youtube tutorial on how to make a water color picture. So I took a picture off of google and just watched the tutorial and it came out pretty good. The tools I used for this project were the Mask Tool, Eraser Tool, Hue and Saturation, and the Brush Tool. My favourite tool that I used was the Hue and Saturation because I liked how I could make changes to the colors. I also used the Eraser Tool to add the circle spots as if the picture was cut out. Anyways doing this was actually fun, you should give us an class project on this.

Soda Can

Summary

In this assignment I learned how to make a 3-D soda can on my own and how to add labels and images. The tools that I used on this assignment is the transform tool, the move tool, clone stamp, text tool, and place embedded. I used the transform tool the most to make all of the images fit into certain spots on the can. The move tool was used to move different images and texts into different spots. The clone stamp tool was specifically used to touch up the fruits on the front of the soda can. The text tool is one of the more major tools that I used to make all of the text on the soda can. The final tool in the “Place embedded” tool to add the bench and the backyard background to the image. These are all of the tools that were used to get this final product of “Fruit Puncha Luscious!”.

Soda Can

Summary

To make this 3D can model i used a lot of tools. The tools i used were the Text Tool, The Transform Tool, and the 3D layer panel. My favorite out of all of the tools i used, was the 3D layer panel because, its really cool to watch everything come together as your putting everything in place on a canvas.
